Thes are the SY35, 55 and 77, among others. ![]() Have you thought about an old Yamaha or Kurzweil synth? The post DX-7 models had light synth action, and are supposed to be pretty durable. Most of the akai's i'e tried had really stiff key action, like dangerously stiff, and the drum pads weren't great either (FWIW i know a guy who loves his Maudio and Akai stuff, but he works for inMusic and probably gets his stuff free, and i havent tried one in a year or so) I think octave transpose keys are pretty standard, but i would go for 61+ keys unless it needs to be relatively portable, then 49. ![]() ![]() ![]() I've been looking also, had a few Maudio's (aftertouch always seems to die first, i've gotten rid of them at that point, never had a bluescreen)
